Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled GeoSpatial Developer with 4 to 7 years of experience in Java MS Access HTML CSS JS and MySQL. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model primarily during day shifts. This role does not require travel. The candidate will contribute to developing and maintaining geospatial applications that drive our companys mission and impact society positively.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Java to ensure high performance and responsiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.Utilize MS Access to manage and manipulate geospatial data effectively.Implement front-end solutions using HTML CSS and JavaScript to create user-friendly interfaces.Integrate MySQL databases to support application functionality and data storage.Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.Provide technical guidance and support to team members to enhance overall productivity.Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions.Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.Contribute to the documentation of application features functionalities and technical specifications.Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations in all development activities.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Qualifications
Must have strong experience in Java development for geospatial applications.Must have proficiency in MS Access for data management and manipulation.Must have expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript.Must have experience with MySQL for database integration and management.Nice to have familiarity with agile development methodologies.Nice to have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Nice to have strong communication and collaboration skills.Nice to have ability to work independently and as part of a team.Nice to have a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.Nice to have experience with code versioning tools like Git.Nice to have knowledge of security standards and data protection regulations.Nice to have experience in documenting technical specifications and user guides.
