Main Purpose:

To provide integrated geological insights and regional framework understanding for conventional reservoirs by leveraging multidisciplinary geoscientific data. The role supports exploration and development through robust subsurface analysis and collaboration across geoscience functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a detailed and focused regional geological framework understanding using all available data including geological field data, geochemical data, seismic data and other relevant data
• The role holder is required to integrate different sets of geoscientific data to perform reservoir architecture analysis and characterization studies
• Review relevant scientific literature; Review existing plate tectonic model; Interpret geological and geophysical maps
• Build stratigraphic framework Interpret seismic data to create geological cross section, well correlation and gross depositional frameworks
• Generation of basic maps: Generate structural contour maps using seismic interpretation data; Generate tectonic element maps, Thickness maps, gravity -Magnetic maps and crustal architecture maps for aiding reservoir characterization
• Carry out geological field work and outcrop study for analogue based understanding.
• Requires understanding and integrating biostrat and other mineralogical data to interpret the age and environment of deposition.
• Collection, documentation, archiving and maintenance of Wellsite Operations Geodatabase.
• As a member of the geoscience team, the person should adapt in a collaborative environment and deliver robust analysis to other functions/ operational assets.
• Contribute to well planning activities including appraisal, development, and infill drilling.
• Provide preliminary geoscientific inputs to drilling and operations teams.

Functional Competencies:

• Knowledge on tectonics, sedimentology, geochemistry & structural geology
• Fair understanding on regional source rock deposition in different tectonic settings
• Basic concept on heat flow and pore pressure.

Qualification & Experience:

• Masters degree in Geology.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience in subsurface geoscience or related fields.
