Section II: Job Summary

To lead the planning and coordination of BESS projects across multiple stages—engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning—ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, and budgets under the direction of the COO.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Coordination

  • Lead project planning and scheduling activities across all BESS projects.
  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, aligning engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction, O&M) to ensure smooth execution.

2. Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project progress using tools like MS Project or Primavera (P6).
  • Generate weekly/monthly dashboards and reports for the COO and executive leadership.
  • Identify bottlenecks and initiate corrective measures.

3. Technical Coordination

  • Interface with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical and logistical issues.
  • Ensure that design, procurement, and construction phases are well integrated.

4. Risk & Resource Management

  • Identify potential risks in planning and execution phases and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support resource allocation decisions and optimize utilization across projects.

5. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards (IEC, IEEE, UL), local regulations, and HSE policies.
  • Support documentation, quality control, and audit readiness.

  • Project Planning Tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with energy storage technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries, etc.)

  • Risk assessment and mitigation

Qualifications

 

 

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical / Power / Energy Systems Engineering.

 

Technical Skills

 

-       MS Office & Project, Primavera

-       Knowledge of SAP is preferred

Experience levels required to execute this role

E.g. 2-4 yrs of experience as a salesman in abc market
