Job Description

The General Manager Sales will lead the complete sales function for Street Light Poles and PEB solutions , drive revenue growth, manage key clients, develop new markets, and build a high-performance sales team. The role requires strong technical understanding, market awareness, and proven experience in infrastructure/steel fabrication industry.


A. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for Street Light Poles, High Mast Poles, and PEB structures.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, sectors, and geographies.
  • Create pricing strategies, cost estimations, and competitive quotations.

B. Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, EPC companies, government departments, Smart City projects, PWD, NHAI , and private industrial clients.
  • Track upcoming tenders and projects; ensure timely participation.
  • Conduct product presentations, customer visits, and technical discussions.

C. Key Account Management

  • Handle major corporate and government accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, timely delivery coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Build long-term relationships to increase repeat business.

D. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team (Area Managers, Executives, Coordinators).
  • Set targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular review meetings.
  • Provide training on product knowledge, negotiation skills, and market approach.
  • Drive discipline in MIS reporting, follow-ups, and CRM usage.

E. Coordination with Internal Departments

  • Work closely with Design, Estimation, Production, Dispatch, and Finance teams.
  • Ensure feasibility checks, cost accuracy, and timely delivery commitments.
  • Provide market feedback to the NPD (New Product Development) team for improvements.

F. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Track industry trends, competitor products, pricing, and strategies.
  • Suggest product enhancements or new variants based on customer feedback.

G. Compliance & Documentation

  • Oversee tender documentation, LOI, PO review, and contract finalization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government norms.
