General Manager : Gypsum Board manufacturing

Location : EAST AFRICA

Work Experience : 15 20 years , out of which at least 5 years as a profit-center-head in a Gypsum Board manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute long-term business strategy to position the company as a market leader.
• Identify growth opportunities, partnerships, and new market segments.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure strong governance, accountability, and asset protection.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee manufacturing, sales, distribution, and supply chain operations.
• Drive cost optimization while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Lead R&D initiatives to develop innovative and sustainable product solutions.
• Ensure effective utilization and safeguarding of all company assets.

Financial Management

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to achieve profitability goals.
• Improve cash flow, EBITDA margins, and operational efficiency.
• Present business performance updates to the Board and stakeholders.

Leadership & Culture

• Build and mentor a high-performing executive leadership team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Drive employee engagement, development, and performance management systems.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, ethics, and corporate governance standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the companys key representative with investors, regulators, customers, and industry bodies.
• Build strategic partnerships to strengthen brand reputation and market presence.
• Promote sustainable and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
