General Manager - Project Management

Position: General Manager Project Planning & Execution

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech / B.E in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Electrical EPC / Solar EPC / Industrial Electrification.

Must have handled PSU / Government clients (IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, ONGC, NTPC, AAI, GAIL, Railways, etc.).

Must have reviewed and handled at least 5 running projects at the same time.

Must have led 10-15 member project teams.

Must be willing to travel PAN India frequently.

Strong expertise in billing, documentation, time extensions, penalty waivers, Excel and email communication.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Pan-India Project Planning & Execution

Lead, plan, and execute electrical/solar/infrastructure projects nationwide.

Implement structured project management systems and processes.

Ensure work is executed as per BOQ, drawings, safety and quality norms.

2. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

Lead 3050 member project division including Project Managers & Engineers.

Conduct reviews, performance evaluations and manpower planning.

3. Client Handling & Liaisoning

Handle PSU/Govt/Corporate clients for meetings, audits, approvals and escalations.

Build long-term relationships ensuring customer satisfaction.

4. Billing, Measurements & Documentation

Ensure timely and accurate measurements, RA bills, and final bills.

Ensure zero billing loss and strong documentation compliance.

5. Profitability & P&L; Ownership

Full responsibility of P&L; for all projects.

Control overheads, labour, material wastage and execution costs.

6. Risk Management, Extensions & Penalty Waivers

Prepare time-extension letters, delay justification reports and penalty waiver documents.

Ensure minimum contractual risk exposure.

7. Systems, Processes & Governance

Develop formats for DPRs, billing, audits, reconciliation and progress tracking.

8. Reporting & MIS

Submit daily/weekly/monthly MIS to MDs office.

Present progress, delays, profitability and corrective actions.

Required Technical Skills

Strong electrical engineering knowledge.

Ability to read SLDs, GA drawings, layouts, BOQs.

Knowledge of HT/LT systems, substations, earthing, lighting and solar EPC.
