About the Role:
The General Manager O&M business based at Corp Office Madinaguda, Hyderabad will own, be responsible & accountable for ensuring operations in the Mundhra, Andhra Pradesh & Rajasthan client sites are conducted as per client standards and expectations. The individual will lead all activities pertaining to client relationships, operational excellence, cross-selling opportunities, people engagement & management, HR & Admin, Purchase efficiencies, Safety adherence, troubleshooting etc. The individual will set up systems, procedures, processes & structures in a manner to simplify & standardize experience of clients, employees & other stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Lead, plan, manage, implement & execute operations & maintenance activities at client sites, existing & future.
Build on existing & create new client relationships with the intent to identify potential business opportunities for Sigachi to increase revenues.
Ensure client sites are meeting/exceeding customer expectations, by monitoring & communicating feedback with the Sigachi site heads.
Plan, communicate & drive safety standards among all employees representing Sigachi at the client sites.
Be responsible for cost optimization & EBITDA targets through process improvement, operation excellence measures & innovative practices.
Plan & execute all legal and statutory requirements across all functions including techno-commercial aspects of contracts.
Build & develop a high-performance team that demonstrates Sigachi values and establish a best-in-class culture.
Create & monitor employee engagement to increase retention that directly impacts reduced revenue leakage / client penalties.
Create engagement & motivation with the employees by planning & communicating the employee value proposition periodically to improve retention.
Nurture, develop & grow future leaders from within the organization
Take charge of the enabling functions at the corporate office HO HR & Admin, Finance, Purchase, IT among others
Monitor administrative efficiencies like optimized yet effective transport facility, and other employee benefits.
Take ownership to ensure all statutory, labour and legal compliance is adhered with zero defects
Follow up and end pending legal, labour, vendor, & employee issues with zero escalations.
Monitor, review & renew existing vendor clients in a manner that yields win-win proposition to all parties.
Job Specification:
1.Chemical engineering background with overall experience of 22+ years, ideally in large-scale state-run and/or public limited manufacturing units.
2.Must have experience & exposure in heavy chemicals, fertilizers, petrochemicals to manage & optimize operations, production, engineering, utilities & ETP deliverables.
3.Project cum operations experience with focus on safety & productivity
4.Sound knowledge on O&M contracts, including techno-commercial legal aspects of such contracts
5.Strategic planning & action-oriented approach to business development for growth of business across geographies.
6.Resourceful in building high performance teams, develop next generation of leaders within the company
7.Long, wide & deep network contact of people, decision makers, influencers and others that helps in establishing long-lasting business relationships.
8.Sound financial acumen to manage P&L as per company standards
9.Hands on involvement for operational excellence including big ticket initiatives for Process Improvement, Innovation, Technology deployment, LEAN / 6 Sigma projects among others.
Qualification Bachelors / masters in chemical engineering; MBA is preferred
Other pre-requisites:
1.Will operate out of the O&M corporate office at Madinaguda, Hyderabad
2.Must be willing to travel across client locations, both existing & future clients at Mundhra, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan. As required some travel will be outside of these locations also as the business grows into new territories.
