Job Title: AGM Engineering (Utilities & Maintenance)

Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Industry Preference: Manufacturing (Textile / Garments / FMCG / Process Industry)

Reporting To: VP Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior engineering professional with strong plant utilities and maintenance experience to lead engineering operations at a manufacturing facility. The role focuses on utilities management, preventive maintenance, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, motors, and overall plant reliability, ensuring smooth production operations and compliance with safety and statutory norms.

Key Responsibilities

Utilities & Maintenance Management

• Head end-to-end plant engineering and maintenance operations
• Ensure smooth functioning of utilities including boilers, chillers, HVAC, compressed air, power distribution, motors, DG sets, WTP/ETP/STP
• Plan and execute preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance schedules
• Monitor equipment health, reduce downtime, and improve plant efficiency

Facility & Equipment Maintenance

• Oversee maintenance of machinery, utilities, and building services
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for recurring breakdowns
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and service providers

Energy, Safety & Compliance

• Drive energy optimization, utility cost control, and efficiency improvements
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms related to boilers, electrical systems, safety, and environment
• Maintain documentation for audits and inspections

Projects & Improvements

• Support installation, commissioning, and expansion of utilities and equipment
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance and utility optimization

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team
• Promote a safety-first and preventive maintenance culture

Desired Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Engineering (Masters preferred)
• 812 years of experience in manufacturing plant engineering / maintenance / utilities
• Strong hands-on knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC, motors, utilities, and plant maintenance
• Experience managing large-scale utility operations and maintenance teams
• Candidates specifically looking for core maintenance & utilities leadership roles are preferred
