We are partnering with a Multinational Company - In India, they are leading supplier of technology and services in the areas of Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. Additionally, in India the largest development center outside Germany, for end-to-end engineering and technology solutions. The Group operates in India through twelve companies. They are looking for General Manager - HR & IR for their Manufacturing plant in Bidadi, Bangalore.

Job Description

Job Objective: The purpose of this position is top strategize, establish and implement agile Human Resource Policies and practices in the Organization that partner with the business to function effectively and efficiently


CTC range : 70-85 lpa (Also flexible for the relevant candidate)

Job location : Bidadi, Bangalore.

Age : 45-48 yrs


  1. Employee Experience (EX)

Key activities: Oversee and plan policy development, align and communicate with employees about various Employee Experience initiatives thereby improving the trust level in the organization; Champion the Change Management

Key Result Areas / Indicators: Employee Engagement score / Index


  1. Employee Relations And Industrial Relations

Key activities: Develop progressive Employee Relations and Industrial Relations strategies in the plant.

a) Plan, Engage and Communicate with the senior leadership team while cascading strategies for arriving long term wage settlement for cost effective and affordable wage settlements for the plant

b) Strategize, Design and roll out Business Contingency Plan while driving Industrial Relations agenda in the organization for smooth and seamless functioning of business

Key Result Areas / Indicators: Zero Mandays lost on account of IR Issues


  1. Talent / Workforce Management 1

Key activities: Envisage the fast-changing business environment and build / implement sustainable workforce model suiting to organization requirement keeping stakeholders completely involved

Propose and work towards organization design and re-design in conjunction with the fast changing / evolving business landscape and work for effective manpower planning for long term and short-term requirements

Key Result Areas / Indicators: Retention of Key Talent (M&SS)


  1. Talent / Workforce Management

Key activities: Drive and Implement Performance management strategies in the plant to continuously leverage the breadth and depth of the talent for the employee and organization advantage

Bring in various developmental interventions and suggest changes as required from time to time for Talent Advantage

Key Result Areas / Indicators: Organisation effectiveness


  1. Competence Management

Key activities: Leverage 3E (Education, Experience and Exposure) learning interventions and establish the same as culture in the organization so as to strengthen the learning for talent to become future ready

Plan and Bring in new learning interventions in coordination with various stakeholders

Establish the standards for training of Blue-collar workforce including temporary workforce and bring in actions for time to time improvement

Key Result Areas / Indicators: Organisation effectiveness


  1. Disciplinary, Compliance & Public Liaison

Key activities: Formulate and establish unit specific policies / guidelines / standards for discipline in line with the law of the land and Values

Represent the organization in any of the legal bodies, quasi-judicial or government or non-government bodies to while dealing with labour / compliance / administrative matters

Set up and Coach / Mentor the functioning of various Committees under applicable statute, so as to be instrumental in ensuring proper cadence

  1. People And Organization Strategy

Key activities: Oversee and plan people strategy in line with Business strategy by proactively partnering with the business for organization advantage

Qualifications

Education * MSW or MBA in HRM with specialization in Industrial Relations

Experience * 15+ years of HR and IR experience in a manufacturing setup


Knowledge

Proficient knowledge in handling Human Resource function, Talent Management and Industrial Relations

Proficient knowledge in handling labor cases in courts

Proficient level of knowledge in Labor laws and its practical application, Disciplinary procedure and management

Functional skills

Proficient in interpersonal, networking, communication, facilitation, negotiation and conflict management skills.

Expert level skill in Handling and Managing union(s)

Competent skill in advisory to the business, coaching and mentoring
