Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager - Finance located in Mumbai. The General Manager - Finance will oversee financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance and financial reporting. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with financial regulations, analyzing financial data for decision-making, leading cost management strategies, and managing the financial health of the organization. The candidate will provide direction to the finance team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and implement financial controls to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

• Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
• Partner with senior management to make key business decisions based on financial performance and data.
• Provide financial insights to drive decision-making and achieve financial goals.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Analyze the companys financial performance and make recommendations to improve profitability.
• Develop financial models and projections to guide decision-making processes.

3. Risk Management & Compliance:

• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.

4. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide the COO and the Founders with regular updates on financial performance, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure that financial reports comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

• Manage the companys cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
• Optimize the company's capital structure and recommend actions to improve working capital management.
• Oversee the treasury function, ensuring effective cash management and investment strategies.

6. Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
• Foster a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and collaboration across the organization.
• Ensure the team has the resources and training necessary to achieve departmental objectives.

7. Stakeholder Management:

• Develop and maintain relationships with Credit Rating Agencies, banks, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the company in financial negotiations, acquisitions, and other transactions
