General Manager - Preopening

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Opening Operations

• Design and execute a detailed pre-opening project plan and timeline
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely construction handover
• Set up core departments: Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Spa, Security, etc.
• Define SOPs, service standards, and operational benchmarks

Team Building & Leadership

• Recruit, onboard, and train key leadership and HODs
• Develop a high-performing culture rooted in accountability and service excellence
• Organize daily briefings and foster teamwork and engagement

Financial & Strategic Planning

• Prepare and manage pre-opening and operational budgets
• Track CAPEX and OPEX to ensure financial discipline
• Define pricing structures, revenue forecasts, and cost-control strategy
• Sales, Marketing & Branding
• Collaborate with branding and marketing teams to drive pre-opening buzz
• Partner with OTAs, travel agents, and tourism boards for visibility and outreach
• Reinforce brand standards across physical and digital platforms

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with local laws, safety norms, and regulatory requirements
• Lead implementation of hygiene protocols and operational safety
• Conduct mock runs and trial scenarios to validate readiness
