As a Product Owner Associate on the Core General Ledger Team, you will be responsible for Validating the Controls of the General Ledger by Participating in S4 ledger migration and other Core GL initiatives and ensuring successful test Validation and execution. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes, SAP ledger, and project management (optional) methodologies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the General Ledger.
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of SAP S4/HANA within the organization.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of control validation processes.
- Conduct JIRA grooming and test execution.
- Resolve issues and escalate critical risks as needed.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review.
- Influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders (business, operations, technology).
- Identify and drive solutions for business process re-engineering activities, creating supporting documentation and enhancing end-user operational experience with SAP General Ledger.
- Provide oversight of JIRA stories to ensure completion of all project stories, assisting the program in advancing to the testing phase.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of S4 processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 4 years of project management and business analysis experience and process re-engineering
- Experience in delivering large complex programs and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Solid understanding of SAP, including running of standard and custom reports & various tables within SAP Ledger
- Knowledge and experience of handling execution of Reconciliation and identifying breaks by displaying controller mindset.
- Experience with Agile delivery and the JIRA tool
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to various audiences, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently.
- Must be detail oriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines.
- Overall strong desktop skills including Excel and PowerPoint, SAP knowledge, Power Point and Presentation is a plus
- Previous experience in Controllers team (LEC; Product owner or Recon controllers) a plus
