Who we are looking for

The GD Simplification Program Team is working across the organisation and with clients, technology, product and functional partners, to automate the Middle Office portfolio services activities, enabling an overall more efficient and risk-reduced service.

The Middle Office Change team is responsible for supporting the product and change agenda across all aspects of the Middle Office outsourcing business to include but not limited to Simplification , client, market, regulatory and product based change events.

The candidate will be responsible for project managing Simplification initiatives to ensure operational readiness for go live and stakeholder engagement for these initiatives. As an experienced best in class Change Lead you are required to collaborate with a team of MO Simplification Change Leads effectively in order to ensure that the change activities are carried out in accordance with the standard operating control policy. This will be accomplished by working closely with all internal parties, offshore units, brokers, custodians, fund accountants and other third parties as necessary.

The role involves the close liaison with various cross functional global teams within State Street including Alpha, Portfolio Services, Database Management, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation and IT as well as the critical need to build effective working relationships with the client’s Middle and Front Office teams.

What you will be responsible for

  • Collaborating with a team of Change Leads focussed on Middle Office Simplification initiatives;
  • Developing and maintaining end to end change management plans and RAID items;
  • Applying a structured methodology within the change management workstreams, embracing agile methodologies and mindset
  • Identifying risks and developing risk mitigation tactics.
  • Identifying and managing anticipated resistance to change.
  • Reporting on success performance metrics.
  • Providing reporting and other updates to management and project teams.
  • Support Management in any client orientated scope of service definition, SLA negotiations and ensure appropriate GD review of proposed op models and services.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies working with CIS, Risk and Compliance managers as required.
  • Constantly review policy, procedures and controls in order to reduce risk and enhance operational service delivery. Proactively work to implement measurable process improvement 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including other business lines and corporate functions and external stakeholders such as clients, industry bodies and regulators
  • Participate where required in regular internal risk management meetings
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity within the business  and ensure compliance with industry practice, company policies, statute and regulatory requirements in all matters
  • Assign responsibilities clearly to other Change Leads or analysts to ensure delivery against the plan;
  • Provide support to senior management / Head of Middle Office Simplification for ad hoc assignments as required.
  • Support/represent the Change team in a variety of internal and external meetings as required.

  • PMI Program Management Professional Qualification and/or Agile Scrum Master Certification highly desirable
