JOB POSITION

• Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team.
• This position is responsible for collaborating with data architects to implement data models and ensure seamless integration with GCP services. seeking an experienced GCP and Snowflake Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. 
• As a key member, need to design, develop and maintain scalable data architectures utilizing GCP and Snowflake.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Ability to interface the cloud services with Airflow,Rest API etc.
• Work closely with admin/architect teams during any issues.
• An understanding of the tools and process flow to ensure focused incident response and policy compliance.
• Analyze the day-to-day loads/issues and take necessary actions during issues or escalations.
• Excellent understanding on different file formats (avro, parquet) and JSON
• Should have strong communication skills: both verbal & written
• Must be able to think pro-actively, excellent follow through and attention to detail.
• Passion for new technologies & Ideas
• Should have excellent Analytics & Reporting skills.

QUALIFICATION

• Requires a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology/Data Engineering or similar combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background and minimum of 3-5 years of experience in GCP services.

EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of GCP , Data engineering,Cloud experience
• Over all experience of 3-5 years in IT.
• Experience in agile development processes.
• Hands-on experience on SNOWFLAKE,GCP Services.
• Experience in developing data applications on cloud preferably GCP
• Experience in architecting enterprise-wide data handling huge data volume.
• Having experience in writing/handling complex SQL queries.
• Having knowledge on Docker/QUAY,SHELL scripting is an added advantage.
• Experience in creating Data pipelines using Google Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Able to analyze, research and solve technical and unique problems.
• Expertise with Big Query, Google Cloud Storage,Cloud
• Ability to create Data Pipelines using GCP.
• Composer,Kubernetes,Cloud Logging,Bitbucket, Dataflow or Apache Airflow.
• Having good understanding of technologies like Hadoop,Kafka, Hbase, Sqoop ,scala etc is an added advantage.
• Understanding all complex job and data flows in the project, document and simulate complex issues.
