Your Role

As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and maintenance of GCP infrastructure and applications . Youll handle routine operations, incident response, and system optimization to ensure reliability and performance.

In this role, you will:

• Administer Linux and Windows systems in cloud environments
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to incidents
• Execute backup and disaster recovery operations
• Optimize system performance and apply security patches
• Automate deployments and manage rollback procedures
• Analyze logs and configure alerts for proactive monitoring
• Manage GCP resources including compute, storage, networking, and IAM
• Use Cloud Console and gcloud CLI for operational tasks
• Track resource usage and optimize cloud costs
• Maintain service health and troubleshoot GCP services
• Document operational procedures and maintain runbooks
• Communicate incident status and updates clearly
• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Interact professionally with internal customers
• Stay reliable for on-call and operational responsibilities
• Apply basic Infrastructure as Code concepts

Your Profile

• 3+ years in cloud operations, system administration, or infrastructure management
• Preferred: 5+ years in enterprise cloud environments
• Experience in 24/7 operations and incident response
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with configuration management and monitoring tools
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including GCE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Certifications preferred: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, Linux+ or equivalent
• Clear communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate across teams
