Role: GCP Engineer

Exp: 8-10 Years

Location: Chennai

Primary Skills

Infrastructure Management

Deploy, configure, and manage Compute Engine instances, custom images, and virtual machine templates.
Design and maintain VPC networks, subnets, VPC peering, and routing configurations.
Implement and manage Load Balancers (External and Internal) for traffic distribution and high availability.
Manage Cloud Storage buckets, Cloud SQL databases, and other storage solutions.
Set up and maintain App Engine and App Services for hosting applications.
Manage Pub/Sub topics, subscriptions, and message delivery pipelines.

Security & Compliance

Configure and maintain Cloud Armor, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
Ensure environment hardening and enforce security compliance based on organizational and regulatory standards.
Integrate and manage security tools such as Prisma, DNIF, and other third-party monitoring platforms.
Manage Key Vaults, encryption keys, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
Implement Google Directory Sync (GCDS) for identity and access management integration.

Monitoring & Operations

Implement log monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization using GCP native tools (e.g., Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring).
Manage backup and recovery strategies and ensure disaster recovery (DR) readiness.
Integrate GCP resources with third-party tools for enhanced observability and automation.
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for operational consistency.

Architecture & Governance

Support design and deployment of Hub-and-Spoke network topologies for scalable infrastructure.
Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure seamless deployments.
Continuously assess and optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency.
