GCP Data Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

What You'll Do:

• The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Composer, and related GCP services, along with strong programming and data integration skills.
• This role will focus on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.
• Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline Development Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines on GCP.
• Develop ingestion frameworks for batch and streaming data using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc. Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost, and reliability. Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, event streams).

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Data Warehousing & Modeling Build and manage data warehouses/lakes using BigQuery and Cloud Storage. Develop data models, partitioning, and clustering strategies for efficient queries.
• Implement best practices in schema design, query optimization, and partition pruning. Data Governance & Security Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies. Implement access controls, encryption, and data masking as per standards.
• Monitor pipelines for data quality, lineage, and SLA adherence. Collaboration & Delivery Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable datasets.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines. Strong exposure to cloud-native, big data, and distributed processing frameworks.
• Technical Skills GCP Services: BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Pub/Sub,
