Key Responsibilities

• Pipeline Development: Design, build, and operationalize large-scale batch and streaming data processing pipelines using Dataflow, Dataproc, and Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer).
• Data Warehousing: Implement and optimize data storage solutions, specifically designing efficient data models within BigQuery
• .
• Data Integration: Ingest data from various sources into GCP storage solutions like BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Monitoring & Security: Ensure data quality, observability, security, and compliance across the data pipeline.
• Optimization: Tune performance of data pipelines and database queries to optimize costs and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• GCP Expertise: Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud SQL.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering tasks.
• Data Modeling: Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and database design.
• Big Data Tools: Experience with Apache Spark or Apache Beam.
• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering and Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification is often required or preferred.
