Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Gameplay Programmer - Unreal Engine. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing gameplay systems, implementing game mechanics, and collaborating closely with designers and artists to bring creative concepts to life. You will write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Unreal Engine to deliver features and resolve technical challenges. Additional responsibilities may include debugging, performance optimization, and shaping the overall player experience.

Qualifications:

• Mastery of C++ and Blueprints with deep Unreal Engine expertise.
• Proficiency in general Gameplay Programming, and developing interactive systems.
• Advanced knowledge of 3rd-Person Combat Gameplay Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Deep understanding of Game Design principles and experience collaborating with design teams to achieve flawless Game Feel & Juice.
• Independently manage complex technical tasks with a meticulous approach to debugging and code quality.
• Bring a genuine passion for indie combat games to the table, helping us refine the "crunch" and "flow" of our systems.
• Facilitate clear, proactive technical communication within a distributed team to ensure project alignment.
• Must have strong game dev portfolio.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of professional experience in game development with a strong focus on Unreal Engine.
• Passion for games, AI, and building tools that empower creative teams
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multiplayer game development, networking, and online service APIs.
• Previous experience shipping a title on PC or console platforms.
