Fundamental & Equity research analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Fundamental Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in equity research, financial modelling, and market analysis, with the ability to independently identify investment opportunities in emerging sectors and undervalued stocks.

Key Responsibilities

Sector & Stock Analysis

• Identify and analyze the top emerging sectors and stocks expected to perform well over the next 23 years.
• Evaluate company fundamentals, valuations, and growth prospects to recommend investment opportunities.

Brokerage & Market Reports

• Track and review brokerage reports, market research, and company-specific analyses.
• Prepare concise internal reports summarizing key insights and actionable recommendations.

Market Activity Tracking

• Monitor block deals during market hours and track fund buying activity post-market.
• Assess the impact of institutional flows on stock performance.

Global & Macro Events

• Track major global equity market events and analyze their implications for domestic markets and related asset classes.
• Provide timely insights on macroeconomic and geopolitical developments.

Equity Research & Financial Modelling

• Independently build detailed financial models for companies.
• Prepare comprehensive equity research reports including valuation, forecasts, and investment theses.

News & Policy Monitoring

• Stay updated on Cabinet decisions, political developments, and company-specific news.
• Track movements in benchmark indices and relevant stocks based on news flow.

Valuation Identification

• Continuously identify stocks trading at attractive valuations and recommend investment opportunities.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Strong background in fundamental equity research and financial modeling.
• Proficiency in analysing brokerage reports, market data, and global events.
• Excellent knowledge of valuation techniques (DCF, relative valuation, multiples).
• Ability to work independently and produce detailed equity research reports.
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
• 35 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment analysis, or related roles.
