Job Summary

As a Fund Servicing Specialist within the Asset Services team, you will be responsible for the capture, analysis, and notification to clients of event information and deadlines, reconciliation and execution of client instructions to the market, and reconciliation and posting of clients' cash and stock entitlements for Income & COACs. This role provides an opportunity to lead and manage meaningful relationships that deliver an outstanding experience to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing and validation of Income and Mandatory Corporate actions, ensuring all income exceptions are investigated and resolved according to schedule.
  • Manage the daily operations and workflow within the Asset Services team, optimizing team capacity through effective resource planning, training, and succession planning.
  • Ensure completion and sign-off of daily controls and processes, including client service inquiries, cash and stock break management, and event management, while producing key metrics within specified timelines.
  • Address and escalate issues related to the Asset Services Department to Operational and Risk leads, and continuously review Standard Operating Procedures to align with new policies and risk management activities.
  • Support managers in implementing governance and supervisory controls, document errors and incidents promptly, and organize risk review meetings and key sign-off points.
  • Respond to client queries within required SLAs, ensure data accuracy and completeness, and maintain timeliness in governance calls, sign-offs, and quality control files.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Settlements, FX, and Risk teams, provide Associate coverage, and contribute to the strategic development of the asset servicing product by identifying opportunities, conducting analyses, and implementing project structures and governance.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Possess a B Com, CA, or MBA with a minimum of 3 years of experience in asset servicing or the investment domain, with strong knowledge of financial instruments and fund accounting terms.
  • Demonstrate excellent investigation skills with a strong desire to resolve queries, and maintain a focus on meeting tight deadlines effectively.
  • Be a supportive team player with high attention to detail, contributing to overall team success and delivery.
  • Exhibit clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and possess operational subject matter expertise in areas such as Reconciliation, Settlements, and Trade Support.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • A background in Reconciliation is advantageous, showcasing the ability to compare transactions/positions and resolve discrepancies, while client service experience in Financial Services is beneficial for effective group management and liaison.
