Job Description
Job Purpose
The Fund Operations Executive will support the day-to-day operations of investment funds, including fund accounting, NAV preparation, financial reporting, and coordination with service providers. This role is suitable for a qualified Chartered Accountant or candidates with 4-7 years of relevant experience , offering strong learning and growth opportunities in the fund management industry.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & NAV Support
- Assist in preparation and review of daily/monthly/quarterly NAV calculations
- Record and verify:
- Investment transactions
- Corporate actions
- Income accruals
- Fund expenses
- Support valuation processes under guidance, including listed and basic derivative instruments
Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparation of:
- Fund financial statements
- Investor reports and schedules
- Support audit processes by preparing working papers and responding to audit queries
Operations & Reconciliations
- Perform cash, bank, and position reconciliations
- Support trade lifecycle activities from execution to settlement
- Assist in monitoring fund expenses and accruals
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Assist in regulatory filings and compliance requirements (e.g. MAS, ACRA, FATCA, CRS)
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for regulatory and internal purposes
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and internal teams for data and confirmations
- Support fund launches and operational setup under supervision
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience
- 4-7 years of experience in:
- Fund accounting
- Audit (financial services preferred)
- Asset management / financial services operations
Technical Skills
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and IFRS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of investment instruments is an advantage
- Willingness to learn fund accounting systems and regulatory frameworks
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines
