Full-stack software engineer (Backend-first)

At 360Watts, were building an AI-integrated Home Energy Management System (HEMS) which is a data-driven AI/ML-enabled energy intelligence platform. It connects with rooftop solar and IoT-based devices, offering diverse home automation use-cases via. mobile application.

>> Role

We are looking for a Backend-first Full-Stack Application Engineer who can lead the HEMS platform and MVP mobile application development in 1-2 months. Further develop into a sophisticated and market-ready solutions within next 3-4 months.

This is a leadership role for someone young in career but wanting to grow into tech lead in 1-2 years. By taking-up full ownership, strong career growth, and work with innovative technologies. Definitely not a typical 9-5 job !!

i) Backend (cloud + edge)

• Design and build APIs using Python (FastAPI)
• Define and manage PostgreSQL schemas & migrations for time-series datasets and scaled for complex IoT ecosystem
• Implement auth, device onboarding, telemetry ingestion
• Integrate ML model outputs into backend workflows
• Maintain clean API contracts for low-latency mobile users
• Deploy and manage services on AWS (ECS / EC2 / Lambda level)
• Manage cloud and devops workflows in micro-services architecture (dockerize services, staging & production environments, monitoring & logging, clean repo structure & documentation)

ii) Frontend (cross-platform mobile application)

• Build and ship MVP mobile app using Flutter (preferably) or React Native
• Develop functional UI screens (dashboard, device view, alerts, insights)
• Wire APIs, handle loading/error states, basic state management
• Testing and debugging

>> What we look for

• 13 years of experience in client-facing Full-Stack application development
• Have shipped at least one production-ready application
• Backend: Python (FastAPI & Django) is mandatory
• Frontend: Flutter or React Native (mandatory)
• APIs: REST, auth, versioning, application-friendly design (web & mobile)
• Data: DynamoDB, PostgreSQL
• Cloud: AWS, Docker, CI/CD

• Can build mobile UI (functional > fancy)
• Pragmatic mindset can ship fast and refactor later
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced startup team
• Passion for energy tech trends is a big advantage

• Start: Immediate or from 15.03.2026
• Location: Coimbatore (on-site)
• Compensation: Starting from 35k/month. Further hike is negotiable post 3-month probation period upon bringing the required skillsets and work ethic.
