Full Stack Senior Developer - Angular / Java

As a Senior Developer in the Operational Tooling team, the individual will be working with a team of developers situated in the UK and Europe to implement solutions supporting the strategic growth of the business. The project is a green fields project for creating end to end processes, UI’s and back end services to create and administer Financial Indexes on a large scale. The role will see the developer work closely with multiple abilities within the team including BPMN developers, UI developers, Java developers and a QA automation team. The team works off a prioritized backlog from PO’s and BA’s to deliver according to the vision of the strategic objectives laid out by senior management. This is a good opportunity to join a team where both UI and Backend skills will be used to build out features that will enable LSEG business to build and maintain their market leading products.

Role Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and delivers software solutions that align with architecture, operational and risk processes.
• Identifies, prioritises, and implements tasks in the software development process.
• Develops tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Automates tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Ensures high quality product through the validation and verification testing of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborates with internal teams (including Product Owners/Business and other tech teams) and vendors to build and improve products.
• Communicates with clarity, precision, and influence, communicating complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.
• Give and participate in discussions with colleagues to make valuable contributions to the delivery.
• Attend regular Agile ceremonies and team meetings to align and provide guidance.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
• Extensive knowledge of Angular 2+ with minimum 4 years of experience
• Expertise in Java 17 with 4 minimum years of experience
• Expert level understanding of Spring Framework
• Some experience in Technical Analysis and solution design
• Experience using GraphQL
• AWS experience and familiarity with products to develop solutions.
• Messaging brokers such as Kafka, MQ, etc
• Good experience with Databases both relational and No-SQL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive and Pragmatic approach to solving problems

Desired Requirements

• Experience in In-memory caching (Redis)
• Jira / Confluence / Bitbucket
• Good understanding with CI/CD tools – Jenkins or GitLab.
• Shown experience in test driven development – unit, component, integration, and automation to support modern DevOps principles.
• BPMN tool experience ie-IBM BAW, Camunda, Pega or similar
• Design patterns and their application.
• Experience with UX design tools such as Figma
• UI Charting libraries (D3, chartJS, etc)
• CSS Frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap, etc)
• Experience in financial services with an understanding of financial market data would be helpful.
