Position: Full Stack PHP Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack PHP Developer who is strong in backend development using PHP frameworks and has solid hands-on experience in frontend technologies, APIs, databases, and cloud/server environments. The ideal candidate should be able to take ownership of projects end-to-end, write clean and optimized code, and contribute to architectural and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using PHP (7.x/8.x) and frameworks such as Laravel / CodeIgniter / Symfony / OpenCart (as applicable).

Build RESTful APIs and integrate 3rd-party APIs (payment gateways, CRMs, logistics, etc.).

Write clean, secure, scalable, and well-documented code.

Optimize database queries, schema design, indexing, and improve performance.

Implement background jobs, queues, caching layers (Redis/Memcached).

Frontend Development

Develop UI components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind (as applicable).

Work on responsive and cross-browser compatible pages.

Basic understanding of modern JS frameworks (React/Vue) is an added advantage.

Database & Server

Strong experience in MySQL/MariaDB writing complex queries, stored procedures, optimization.

Knowledge of database indexing, query debugging, and performance tuning.

Deploy and maintain applications on Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), Apache/Nginx.

Handle version control using Git.

Architecture & DevOps (Plus Points)

Experience with Docker, microservices, queues, cron jobs.

Cloud knowledge: AWS, Linode, DigitalOcean.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Quality & Collaboration

Work with product, design, QA teams to deliver features on time.

Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, maintain coding standards.

Troubleshoot issues, optimize existing code, improve application reliability.

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8, OOPs, MVC Architecture.

Experience with Laravel / CodeIgniter / Symfony / OpenCart / Custom PHP.

REST API development and consumption.

Solid MySQL expertise with optimization skills.

HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery.

Git, Composer, NPM.

Linux (basic to intermediate).

Preferred / Good to Have

Experience with Shopify API, Node.js, React, or Vue.js.

Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ.

Understanding of caching, performance tuning, security best practices.

Knowledge of Shopify Headless or e-commerce platforms (OpenCart, WooCommerce, Magento).

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a PHP developer.
