Pluto Mobility is building Indias first purpose-built electric vehicle for multi-category last-mile delivery. Our vehicles and systems are designed to improve throughput, reliability, and delivery economics at scale.

Role Description

Were looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to build and scale our last-mile delivery products across mobile and backend systems.This is a hands-on role. You will own features end-to-end from rider-facing mobile apps to backend orchestration and logistics logic.

Your work will directly impact rider utilisation, routing efficiency, and fleet reliability.

What Youll Work On

Mobile (React Native + Android)

Build production-grade apps using React Native (Expo) and TypeScript

Implement state management using Zustand and React Query

Ensure performance and stability across Android devices

Develop native Android modules in Kotlin/Java for Bluetooth, camera, ML Kit, location etc.

Diagnose crashes, ANRs, memory issues and optimise performance

Backend & Microservices

• Build scalable backend services in Node.js, Go, Rust, or Python
• Design APIs using gRPC and Protobuf
• Work within a microservices architecture
• Translate logistics constraints into software systems

Systems & Architecture

• Contribute to a TurboRepo monorepo setup
• Build logistics-aware systems including batching, routing, and state machines
• Write unit and E2E tests using Jest and Detox
• Ensure production reliability through monitoring and debugging

What Were Looking For

• 2+ years building production systems
• Strong full-stack experience across mobile and backend
• Comfortable working close to hardware and real-world constraints
• Experience in logistics, mobility, marketplaces, or gig economy is a plus
• Strong ownership mindset
