Job Overview

DMAX Overseas Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly creative and commercially driven Freelance

Goods Designer with strong expertise in leather and non-leather accessories. The role

involves designing export-quality products aligned with international fashion trends, buyer

briefs, and manufacturing feasibility.

We are looking for experienced designers, preferably graduates from NID, NIFT or other

reputed international fashion institutes, who can independently handle design development

from concept to production-ready stage.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop leather & non-leather accessories, including:

o Handbags, backpacks, tote bags, Laptop Bags, Mobile Covers etc

o Wallets, purses, clutches

o Small leather goods and lifestyle accessories

Translate buyer briefs and trend directions into commercially viable product

designs.

Prepare detailed tech packs, including:

o Measurements and construction details

o Material and fabric specifications

o Colorways, trims, fittings, and hardware

Recommend suitable materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques keeping

cost and export quality in mind.

Coordinate with sampling, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design

intent is achieved.

Incorporate buyer feedback, cost optimization, and production constraints into

revised designs.

Research and stay updated with global accessory trends, silhouettes, colors, and

materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate/Postgraduate from NID, NIFT or reputed national/ international

fashion/design institutes (preferred).

Formal education in Accessory Design, Fashion Design, or Product Design.

Strong portfolio demonstrating leather and non-leather accessory design.

Skills & Experience

310+ years of relevant experience in accessories design (export-focused preferred).

Strong knowledge of:

o Leather & alternative materials

o Construction methods

o Hardware, trims, and fittings

Proficiency in design software:

o Adobe Illustrator

o Adobe Photoshop

o CorelDRAW (preferred)

Ability to create production-ready designs with minimal supervision.

Experience working with international buyers, export houses, or global brands is a

strong advantage.

Strong communication skills and ability to manage freelance timelines and

deliverables.
