Freelance Agriculture & Livestock Policy Consultant

Our client, a leading Private Foundation, is seeking a Consultant Agriculture & Allied Sectors to support the design, implementation, and coordination of agriculture and livestock development initiatives aligned with Government of India priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support planning and execution of agriculture and livestock development programs (dairy, poultry, goatery, piggery, fodder systems).
• Contribute to strategy development for:
• Breed improvement initiatives
• Fodder and feed management systems
• Animal health and productivity enhancement
• Livestock-based livelihood models
• Agri value chain strengthening
• Conduct value chain assessments, market linkage studies, and farmer income improvement analyses.
• Coordinate with Central and State Government departments, district agencies, and implementation partners.
• Support convergence with Government of India schemes in agriculture and allied sectors.
• Track program KPIs, implementation milestones, and impact metrics.
• Facilitate stakeholder consultations including FPOs, cooperatives, dairy federations, agri-input companies, and rural enterprises.

• Capacity: Full time, Onsite in Delhi

Skills Required:

• MBA in Agri-Business / Rural Management / Agriculture from a reputed institution or B.Tech / M.Tech in Agriculture or Allied Sectors with program management experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in:
• Agriculture development programs
• Livestock value chain projects
• Government scheme implementation
• Agri-business consulting
• Strong understanding of Government of India agriculture and livestock policies.
• Experience engaging with state departments, rural institutions, or farmer collectives.
• Exposure to dairy, livestock-based livelihoods, rural market development, or agri-input ecosystems preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination capabilities.
• Field-level implementation experience is an advantage.
