About the Role

Keplin is hiring a commercially minded FP&A professional to strengthen our margin management and decision-support capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of finance, sales, and pricing, and is critical in helping the business make informed, data-driven commercial decisions.

You will own SKU-level and deal-level profitability analysis, track key margin drivers, and partner closely with Sales and Management to evaluate pricing, promotions, and customer deals.

This is not a pure reporting roleits a hands-on commercial finance position where your analysis directly influences business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Margin & Profitability Management

• Build, maintain, and enhance margin views by SKU, channel, customer, and geography
• Track and analyse key margin drivers including:
• Pricing & discounts
• Freight & logistics costs
• FX impact
• Promotions, schemes, and rebates
• Co-op / chargebacks
• Returns, damages, and claims
• Monitor gross margin movements and flag risks/opportunities proactively

2. Commercial & Deal Evaluation

• Evaluate proposed deals and pricing scenarios:
• Is the deal profitable?
• What is the walk-away price?
• How low can pricing go while maintaining acceptable margins?
• Support Sales and Management with pre-deal and post-deal profitability analysis
• Develop deal models to compare scenarios and recommend optimal commercial outcomes

3. Decision Support & Business Partnering

• Act as a finance business partner to Sales, Commercial, and Leadership teams
• Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights
• Challenge assumptions using data and logic while remaining commercially pragmatic

4. Reporting, Dashboards & Insights

• Prepare structured Excel-based models and analyses with high accuracy
• Develop and present management insights using Power BI (preferred)
• Improve visibility into SKU and customer profitability through dashboards and trackers

5. Data Handling & Process Improvement

• Work with large SKU volumes and imperfect datasets, ensuring data reliability
• Identify gaps in data and processes and propose practical improvements
• Standardize margin calculations and deal evaluation frameworks

Skills & Competencies Required

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Advanced Excel (financial modelling, structured templates, scenario analysis)
• Strong understanding of margin analysis, pricing, and commercial finance
• Experience handling large datasets / high SKU complexity
• Power BI skills preferred (dashboarding, insights presentation)

Business & Behavioural Skills

• Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to convert analysis into business decisions and recommendations
• Comfortable questioning assumptions and influencing stakeholders with data
• High attention to detail with speed and accuracy

Educational Background

• MBA (Finance), CA, or equivalent finance qualification
• Background matters less than skillset, mindset, and commercial orientation
