FP&A Manager

We are Mobile Premier League (MPL), one of India’s largest esports and mobile gaming platforms. We have grown and scaled multifold over the last few years. 

We hit 5 billion games played on MPL within a year of starting up and our current user base is over 80+ million. Some of our marquee investors include Sequoia Capital, Times Internet, and GoVentures. We currently have over 80 games on our platform. Multiple mainstream as well as Indie game developers are our partners. Creating and re-inventing has been a key practice here and at this point we require folks who can help us keep pace with the dynamic ecosystem we are all a part of. 

About the role: 

MPL is looking to hire a FP&A Manager - Finance who will work in close collaboration with many of the key leaders within business and the broader finance organization. 

MPL is a high growth and increasingly complex business that operates in one of the most disruptive sectors - gaming & entertainment. The incumbent will be expected to drive planning for the entire organization, create ad-hoc forecasts and enable multiple scenario analysis and planning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Run the month-close process, prepare financial statements and manage internal business and external investor reporting

• Provide strategic financial analysis and business insights through financial models and presentations

• Work closely with business unit leaders and business finance to build out revenue, marketing and opex forecasting models

• Develop and own the annual operating plan, financial budgets, periodic forecasts and capital allocation projects

• Track underlying business performance against plans and guide long-term business decisions, including preparation of board materials

• Manage a rolling corporate forecast and provide timely insights into performance against the budget 

• Comfort with responsibilities related to accounting and financial reporting under IFRS, statutory and internal Audits

Requirements: 

• Chartered Accountant or MBA from a reputed institution

• 4+ years of post-qualification relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, with experience of working with cross-functional teams

• Full proficiency and comfort with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint is a must

• Strong financial modeling, accounting knowledge and analytical skills for financial statements are required

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) is required

• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and communication skills
