Responsibilities

Build and ship core user experiences across website and app (customer-facing flows, performance, reliability).

Design and implement backend services/APIs for shopping workflows (catalog, search/discovery, personalization, checkout/payment integrations, order tracking, etc.).

Build the agentic layer: LLM-powered flows that can plan, use tools, take actions, and improve outcomes over time.

Collaborate tightly with founders to shape roadmap, UX, and product strategy; move from idea prototype production quickly.

Qualifications

26 years of fullstack experience with proven production ownership: you have built and shipped end-to-end features used by real users, and you can clearly explain what you owned and the impact.

Strong hands-on proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript / Python, and ability to ramp quickly on the rest. You write clean, testable code and can do thoughtful reviews.

Proven track record shipping consumer-grade or high-traffic product experiences (web and/or mobile): performance, reliability, and UX polish matter to you, and youve delivered them before.

Backend fundamentals in production: you have designed APIs, data models, and services; handled auth/permissions; worked with relational DBs (Postgres/MySQL preferred); and debugged production issues.

AI/LLM experience in real builds: youve shipped at least one LLM-powered feature/system (e.g., tool/function calling, RAG, structured outputs, agents, evals). You can talk through failure modes and how you mitigated them.

High ownership + speed: you thrive in ambiguous environments, can break down problems, make tradeoffs, and ship iteratively without needing heavy specs.

Bonus points

Experience with mobile app development (React Native / Flutter / native) and shipping to production (stores, releases, crash/analytics).

Experience with e-commerce or shopping domains (search/discovery, catalog, pricing, payments, order flows).

Prior early-stage startup experience or founder-like ownership.
