We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with enterprise clients, translating complex business problems into production-grade AI solutions.

This is a high-impact, client-facing engineering role.

Role Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of:

• AI systems engineering
• Backend development
• Solution architecture
• Client engagement

You will embed within client environments (virtually or onsite), understand business workflows deeply, rapidly prototype AI solutions, and scale them into production systems.

This role requires both technical depth and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Problem Framing

• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand workflows and pain points
• Translate business problems into scalable AI system designs
• Lead technical discussions and solution walkthroughs
• Provide architectural recommendations aligned with enterprise constraints

AI System Development

• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications (RAG, agents, automation systems)
• Integrate structured and unstructured enterprise data sources
• Design prompt workflows and tool-calling systems
• Implement evaluation and monitoring mechanisms for AI outputs

Backend & System Architecture

• Develop production-ready backend services (Python/FastAPI preferred)
• Design scalable API architectures and data pipelines
• Implement caching, async processing, and performance optimizations
• Ensure reliability, security, and maintainability of deployed systems

Deployment & Productionization

• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS)
• Support CI/CD and release workflows
• Monitor performance, cost, and latency
• Debug production issues under tight timelines

Required Skills

Core Engineering

• 37 years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks
• Solid understanding of system design and distributed systems
• Experience building scalable APIs and services

AI & LLM Systems

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Llama, etc.)
• Experience building RAG pipelines
• Familiarity with embeddings and vector databases
• Understanding of prompt engineering and AI evaluation concepts

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with Azure / AWS / GCP
• Docker-based deployments
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
• Exposure to Kubernetes (preferred)

Client-Facing Capability

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort working in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
• Strong ownership mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-agent systems
• GPU-based model deployment and optimization
• Experience in enterprise consulting environments
• Exposure to data engineering pipelines
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React/Vue)
