Job Summary

The Food Scientist / Nutrition Scientist will be responsible for developing and improving nutrition-based products, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and conducting research to support product innovation. This role requires expertise in food science, nutrition, and regulatory guidelines to create safe, effective, and market-ready products.


Key Responsibilities

Product Development: Design and develop new nutrition and wellness products based on market trends and scientific research.

Formulation: Create and optimize formulations for supplements, functional foods, and health products.

Research & Analysis: Conduct nutritional analysis, ingredient research, and validate health claims.

Compliance: Ensure all products meet FSSAI, GMP, and other regulatory standards.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to maintain product safety and quality.

Documentation: Prepare technical reports, product specifications, and regulatory documentation.

Innovation: Stay updated on emerging trends in nutrition science and incorporate them into product development.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, production, and supply chain teams for successful product launches.


Qualifications

Education: Masters or Ph.D. in Food Science, Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.

Experience: 35 years in food product development or nutrition research (preferably in FMCG or health & wellness industry).


Skills:

o Strong knowledge of food chemistry, nutrition, and regulatory standards.

o Proficiency in lab testing and analytical techniques.

o Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

o Ability to innovate and solve complex formulation challenges.
