Job description for Floor Supervisor

A floor supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment in bars, nightclubs, or other similar establishments. They are tasked with checking the identification of patrons and ensuring that no prohibited items or people enter the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Screen patrons for prohibited items such as weapons, drugs, and other contraband.

·         Maintain a visible and vigilant presence in the establishment to deter any potential disturbances or criminal activity.

·         Monitor the behaviour of patrons and intervene when necessary to prevent fights or other disturbances.

·         Communicate with other security personnel and management to coordinate responses to potential security threats.

·         Escort unruly patrons out of the establishment as necessary.

·         Provide assistance to patrons as needed

·         Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy

·         Complete incident reports as necessary and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents.

Qualifications:

·         Min HSSC pass, diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in Security  may be preferred.

·         Min Experience of 1 year

·         Previous security-related work experience preferred

·         Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively handle difficult or dangerous situations.

·         Ability to stay level headed and respond quickly in stressful situations

·         Proficient written and oral communication skills

·         Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time

·         Working knowledge of basic security techniques

·         Excellent surveillance and observation skills
