Fixed Income Dealer

Position: Dealer- Fixed Income

Location: Mumbai Lower Parel

Department: Investments

Reporting to: Fund Manager

Context & Role

The job holder will be responsible for supporting the Investment Team and Fund Managers with debt, macroeconomic, and other research.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• MBA from a reputed institute/university or CA/ CFA
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a debt dealer, preferably with a life insurance, mutual fund, or debt brokerage.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal execution and recommending ideas
• Monitoring investment limits as per internal/external norms
• Building good networks with market participants
• Knowledge of corporate issuances and RBI auctions
• Generating reports for the review of the FM/CIO

Research Responsibilities

• Analysis of Portfolio Liquidity
• Providing recommendations based on analysis and movements in spreads across asset classes
• Analysing benchmark performance related to asset classes such as G-Secs and corporate bonds, including high and low-yielding bonds
• Conducting competitor portfolio analysis similar to benchmark analysis
• Regularly updating on macroeconomic developments domestically and globally
• Tracking the views of leading economists and institutions on macroeconomic parameters

• Identifying market mispricing opportunities through research
• Monitoring the performance of recommended ideas over time
• Demonstrating the ability to analyse and present a comprehensive view of markets

Knowledge and skills required

• Keen analytical skills to evaluate investment ideas
• Sound knowledge of the fixed income markets, concepts, and economic theory
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of Reuters/Bloomberg, Advanced Excel/PowerPoint
