Job Purpose

This role focuses on integrating, testing, and improving the embedded controller firmware used in our EV DC fastcharging stations. You will work on chargertovehicle communication, backend/cloud connectivity, protocol validation, and systemlevel debugging. The work includes interoperability testing with different EVs, solving field issues, and supporting certification. You should be comfortable working across hardware, firmware, and communication layers

Location:Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Key Responsibilities

Lead firmware integration, updates, and stable deployment across different charger variants.

Perform interoperability testing with multiple EV OEMs and with various OCPPbased charging management systems (CSMS).

Analyze CAN, PLC, and Ethernet traces, logs, and waveforms to identify root causes using tools such as CANalyzer, Wireshark, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.

Support hardware-software integration to implement new solution /use cases.

Participate in lab tests, certification tests, and field deployments; support certification activities (ARAI, CE) for product conformance.

Support customer issues and provide technical guidance during deployments; modify applicationlayer software when needed.

Prepare technical reports, validation documents, and test procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

35 years of experience in embedded software development; familiarity with EV charging architecture, power electronics, or embedded communication systems is preferred.

Handson experience with OCPP, ISO 15118, CAN analysis, and PLCbased communication.

Proficiency in C or Python; JavaScript/ReactJS is a plus.

Ability to analyze logs, packet captures, and protocol traces.

Experience handling field issues and customer escalations.

Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently, while also collaborating closely with hardware, field operations, and firmware teams.
