Job Description
Role: Azure FinOps Lead Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement Azure FinOps strategy aligned with business and financial goals
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize Azure cloud spend
- Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost models
- Implement cost governance policies, tagging standards, and chargeback/show back models
- Track cost anomalies, variances, and savings opportunities
- Drive cost optimization initiatives (RI, Savings Plans, right-sizing, auto-scaling, storage optimization)
- Create and maintain cost dashboards and executive reports
- Partner with engineering, finance, procurement, and leadership teams
- Ensure financial accountability and transparency across business units
- Manage vendor licensing, EA/CSP billing, and contracts optimization
- Establish FinOps best practices, frameworks, and operating models
- Lead automation for cost controls and reporting
- Support cloud cost audits and compliance requirements
- Mentor and guide FinOps analysts and cloud cost teams
