JD for the role of 'Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis'
Office Location:- Churchgate
Working Days:-6 days 2nd and 4th Saturday off
Reporting to the Leadership team
Key Role & Responsibilities:
The Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role is a critical position responsible for providing financial insights and strategic support to the leadership team. This role involves developing and maintaining financial models, conducting variance analysis, preparing budgets and forecasts, and supporting key business decisions.
Collaborating closely with various departments to ensure alignment of financial plans with overall business objectives and choose AI driven tools for generating reports and maintaining DASHBOARDS on a periodic basis, as required by the Leadership. This position plays a crucial role in driving profitability, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the financial health of the organization.
Must Dos:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Prepare annual / periodic budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, incorporating key business assumptions and market trends.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify trends, explain deviations from budget, and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Support the evaluation of investment opportunities, including new projects, acquisitions, and capital expenditures.
- Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage overview of finance projects for ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Oversee financial operations for quick view, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Must Have:
- Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, including financial modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
- Strong understanding of financial operations and accounting principles.
- Experience in finance project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- MBA in Finance or CFA preferred / CA
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, Financial Operations, Finance Project Management, Business Finance, and Variance Analysis.
- Adaptability to work in an on-site environment in Mumbai.
