Financial Planning Analyst

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented finance professional to join our FP&A team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in business planning, MIS reporting, financial analysis, and industry benchmarking within the General Insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monthly Business MIS

• Prepare and present accurate monthly MIS reports.
• Analyze financial performance and key business metrics.
• Highlight actionable insights for senior management.

2. Industry Benchmarking

• Conduct industry research and performance benchmarking.
• Compare company performance against industry standards.
• Identify improvement opportunities and strategic insights.

3. Annual Business Planning Support

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Support the Manager FP&A in preparing the annual business plan.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals.

4. Collaboration with Accounts Team

• Work closely with the Accounts team to ensure financial data accuracy.
• Support reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

5. Financial Accuracy & Variance Analysis

• Validate financial reports and perform detailed checks.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify discrepancies.
• Recommend and monitor corrective actions.

6. Strategic Financial Analysis

• Provide insightful financial analysis to support business strategy and decision-making.

Key Requirements

• CA / MBA (Finance) / PG (Finance) / Finance Graduate.
• 25 years of relevant experience (preferably in General Insurance sector).
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, MIS reporting, and business planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, and financial modelling tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
