Role Overview

We are looking for a high-calibre Finance Controller with a strong analytical and business finance orientation to work closely with the Founder and leadership team.

This role goes well beyond traditional controllership. You will be responsible for financial projections, performance metrics, unit economics, and P&L tracking , helping leadership make informed, data-driven decisions as the business scales across multiple technology and financial platforms.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building financial clarity in fast-moving environments .

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Projections

• Build and maintain short-term and long-term financial projections
• Develop rolling forecasts, scenario models, and sensitivity analyses
• Support fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning exercises

Performance Metrics & Analysis

• Define and track key business and financial metrics across business lines
• Develop dashboards covering:
• Revenue growth
• Cost structures
• Unit economics
• Cash burn and runway
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data-driven analysis

P&L Ownership & Cost Discipline

• Own P&L tracking at business and product levels
• Monitor budget vs actuals and explain variances clearly
• Drive cost optimization without compromising growth objectives

Management Reporting

• Produce monthly MIS, financial reviews, and performance packs
• Translate financial data into insights for non-finance stakeholders
• Support leadership with decision memos and financial briefs

Governance & Controls

• Ensure strong financial controls and hygiene
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and compliance partners
• Support statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements as needed

• Accurate, forward-looking financial projections updated regularly
• Clear visibility into unit economics and profitability drivers
• Timely monthly MIS and performance dashboards
• Early identification of risks and deviations from plan
• Leadership decisions increasingly driven by financial insight, not intuition

Candidate Profile

Must-Have Experience

• CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
• 710 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, or controllership roles
• Strong experience in:
• Financial modelling
• Forecasting and budgeting
• P&L and variance analysis
• Exposure to technology, fintech, or high-growth businesses preferred
