Position Summary:

Ideal Consultants is partnering with a leading public limited company in the defence manufacturing sector, with operations in India and overseas, to identify a high-calibre Financial Controller for its Hyderabad location.

This is a senior finance role responsible for overseeing financial operations, commercial functions, MIS, treasury, taxation, and supply chain finance support, while acting as a key business partner to the leadership team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening financial governance, driving performance insights, and supporting manufacturing operations through robust financial systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage financial control, MIS, and reporting systems, including for manufacturing operations.
• Oversee banking, treasury operations, fund management, and cash flow planning.
• Manage direct taxation and support statutory compliance.
• Drive financial analysis and financial modelling to support business decisions.
• Partner with leadership on commercial strategy and operational performance.
• Support Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations from a finance perspective.
• Ensure strong internal controls, governance frameworks, and process improvements.
• Prepare and present periodic financial insights to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in finance leadership roles.
• Prior exposure to Engineering / Electronics / R&D / Precision Components Manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience working in organisations with 1,000+ crore turnover.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in financial systems and MS Office
• Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience in financial modelling
