About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Finance Controller to lead the end-to-end finance function for Driffles global group of entities. This role carries full ownership of accounting, reporting, compliance, controls, and financial governance across multiple jurisdictions, while directly managing finance team members and coordinating with outsourced accounting, tax, and compliance partners. The Finance Controller will act as the single point of accountability for group financial accuracy, statutory compliance, consolidation, and management reporting, while partnering closely with senior leadership to support growth, scalability, and operational excellence.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Group Accounting & Financial Reporting: Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial reporting multiple jurisdictions. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage inter-company accounting, reconciliations, eliminations, and support transfer pricing processes.


Finance Operations: Own complete finance operations, including bookkeeping, payroll accounting, GST, TDS, statutory filings, and audits. Partner with HR and leadership teams on payroll, headcount planning, and employee cost controls. Ensure compliance with Indian Company Law, tax regulations, and filing timelines.


Finance Management: Manage and review work performed by external accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance partners. Act as the single point of coordination for outsourced service providers to ensure accuracy, timelines, and compliance. Oversee statutory audits, regulatory filings, and tax compliance across jurisdictions.


Marketplace Accounting: Oversee accounting and reconciliation. Ensure accurate revenue recognition, commission accounting, settlement tracking, and variance analysis. Monitor cash flows across entities and recommend improvements to liquidity and fund movement processes.


Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning: Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across the group. Perform variance analysis, cost monitoring, and financial performance reviews. Provide actionable financial insights to senior management to support decision-making and growth initiatives.Roles and Responsibilities:


Internal Controls, Risk & Governance: Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control framework across entities. Identify financial, compliance, and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.


Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Directly manage, mentor, and review the work of finance team. Set clear responsibilities, review mechanisms, and performance standards within the finance team. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and investors.


Must Have:

  • Strong core accounting knowledge with hands-on experience managing end-to-end finance operations.
  • Proven experience handling multiple legal entities and cross-border accounting.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, inter-company accounting, and controls.
  • Working knowledge of Indian indirect taxation (GST, TDS) and statutory compliance.
  • Practical exposure to IFRS, IND-AS, or US GAAP.
  • Experience working with outsourced accounting and compliance partners.
  • Proficiency with accounting tools such as QuickBooks and/or Zoho.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and dashboards.


Added Advantage:

  • Prior experience in marketplace, fintech, SaaS, gaming, or platform-based businesses.
  • Exposure to cross-border payments, PSP settlements, or commission-based revenue models.
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams in fast-growing organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
