Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy, timelines and integrity of the accounting from Record to Report
• Check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete
• Check and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and provide data to senior management for decision making
• Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to tackle business needs/transactions/models
• Responsible for financial accounting as per relevant accounting standards & legislations
• Responsible for preparation and reporting of financial results ensuring accuracy and within HO deadlines
• Responsible for Monthly Reporting and adherence to the timelines given
• Prepare analytical reports for sales, profitability, price-mix by products/sales channels/regions
• Comparative analysis of actual results with budget/forecast/previous year and explain reasons for deviations to enable senior management in taking appropriate decisions
• Monitor actual fixed costs/selling variable costs/logistics cost vs budget/forecast and explain reasons for deviations to enable adequate provisioning, cost control measures
• Assist in making presentations for business reviews for India/Asia Pacific Region/Group management
• Participate in pricing decisions for price increase, approvals of projects business
• Assist in designing sales promotional schemes, determine provisions to be made as per schemes implemented, monitor scheme disbursement vs provisions
• Participate in special projects like 5 year plans, trend analysis, various initiatives

Qualifications

CA with 3 Plus years post qualification
