Role Description
The Group Financial Reporting team is seeking an experienced professional to meet its disclosure requirements. Disclosures are mandatory regulatory requirement and part of Deutsche Bank’s financial report. The Disclosures Subject Matter Expert (SME) Assistant Vice President role will be responsible for the end-to-end analysis, preparation, and presentation of disclosures, ensuring the content and quality of disclosures and coordinating the activities of all stakeholders (e.g., Senior Management, Internal & External Auditors, Regulators, Risk, Compliance, Business Finance Directors, and other relevant senior stakeholders).
Among key activities, the SME will be responsible for key disclosures, primarily covering Litigation Provision, Related Parties Transations, Shareholder Rights Directive and Other related reporting like HGB and FINREP. The SME will need to present the disclosures to the Note Owner and Senior Reviewer, as appropriate.

Your key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of external financial reporting activities and preparation of notes to the Interim, 20-F Annual report and other related sections in accordance with relevant IFRS requirements (e.g., review, analyze and challenge disclosure data, ensure correctness and timely completion of input to Group Financials)
- Support the delivery of other reports as part of the CFO Factbook and Audit Committee presentation
- Impeecable delivery of IFRS related disclosures such as Litigation Provision, Related Parties Transactions, General Adminstative and Other Expenses, Shareholder Rights Directive and other related reporting contents and quality, as well as ensure it’s timely submission to senior management, other internal stakeholders, external auditor and regulators
- Preparation and submission of regulatory reports like Finrep and Stress test etc.,
- Respond to requests from external auditors and regulators for additional documentation and other relevant updates
- Cater to ad hoc management requirements on reporting and analysis
- Support the execution of the timely and high-quality submission of all the above-mentioned reports, and come up with ideas to automate or streamline the existing processes
- Support the execution of an effective quality audit over functional outputs
- Perform ad hoc analyses on disclosures (e.g., new regulatory requirements and updates to reporting standards) and related processes (e.g., recertification of global chart of accounts and restatements & restructuring)
- Escalate process and management issues in timely manner, wherever required
Your skills and experience
- • IFRS/GAAP knowledge is preferred
- Experience in Financial Reporting, Consolidation, Legal Entity Close For internal use only
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in delivering high-quality financial analysis to support Senior Management
- Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory reporting and banking concepts
- Proficiency on business applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products)
- Fluent English, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain operation focus on required outcomes
- Flexible and proactive mindset
- Proven track record and ability to work against deadlines in an efficient and accurate manner
- High self-motivation and strong teamwork spirit
- Excellent knowledge of banking products and knowledge of IFRS requirements
