The Finance Transformation Lead is responsible for driving and executing the strategic transformation of the finance function within the organization. This role focuses on improving, and automating financial processes, systems, and operational efficiencies to align with the functions overall objective. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance, process optimization, and change management. Candidate must have lead at least 1 full cycle of digital transformation using RPA, AI tools & created management dashboards. He will lead cross-functional teams to implement new financial technologies, streamline workflows by digitising and automatic manual tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Partner with senior management and stakeholders to define and implement strategic financial objectives.
- Develop and implement process improvements and automation solutions across finance operations (e.g., AP, AR, book closing, budgeting and financial reporting).
- Identify inefficiencies and propose technology solutions to improve the finance function, such as ERP and financial software.
- Oversee change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during system or process changes.
- Ensure alignment of finance transformation projects with business and functional leaders.
- Act as a liaison between the finance department and IT, ensuring smooth communication and execution of finance technology implementations.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for transformation projects, ensuring milestones are met.
- Provide training, guidance, and leadership to finance team members to embrace new technologies and processes.
- Monitor the performance of new systems and processes, identifying areas for further improvement or optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve finance operations.
Key Qualifications/skills:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or professional finance certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on process improvement, digitalisation and transformation.
- Strong project management skills, with proven ability to lead large-scale projects across multiple departments.
- Experience with SAP ERP financial systems implementation and automation tools.
- Solid understanding of financial processes such as financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, and communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in change management and training teams on new technologies or processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in finance.
