Finance & Operations Specialist

Our finance and operations functions are a crucial part of the business, tracking our investment deals and providing key information that supports company-wide decision making. This is an in-house position based in Bangalore, India.

As a Finance Operations Associate, youll be working on:

• Investment operations (daily): providing a live picture of how deals are progressing - updating and maintaining deal workbooks, tracking commitments and funds received, support in deal closing, deal reconciliations and post-deal reporting.
• Banking and debtors (daily): take ownership of ensuring funds are received on time and support in internal transfers.
• Maintain various supporting schedules including for partners.
• Deal administration: support in working with our administrator during and after deal closure, as well as our compliance team.
• Supporting in monthly reporting including monthly revenue updates, partner payments, management finance pack.
• Support in annual reporting including for K-1s (creating trial balances) and financial statements.
• Ad hoc reports and tasks as required, including exit computations, supporting in set up and maintenance of investment vehicles.
• Ideate and set up systems and alerts in place to avoid errors and mistakes in financial data records.

• 3+ years experience in finance or accounting
• Quickly understand tasks and raise the bar by introducing new processes and initiatives
• Attention to detail and highly reliable: this is essential for this role
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Excellent command over spoken English
• Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel skills
• Working experience in the investment space (eg: venture fund or similar) will be a huge plus, as would working with US investment vehicles
• Accounting experience is a plus
