KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Controllership & Financial Integrity

Own end-to-end R2R (GL, journals, close, reconciliations, periodical Financial Statements)

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of books

Drive predictable month-end close (T+5 days)

Maintain audit-ready documentation and trails

2. Payments, Cash & Controls

Design and enforce payment processes (makerchecker, approvals)

Ensure zero missed or duplicate payments

Establish daily and weekly cash visibility

Own approval matrices and financial authority frameworks

3. Process Design & SOPs

Document and standardize AP, AR, Close, Payments, Compliance processes

Replace heroics with checklists, calendars, and discipline

Ensure processes scale with average talent

4. Systems & Automation Discipline

Enforce ERP hygiene (period locks, voucher discipline, master data)

Partner with automation resources to reduce manual work

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

Work hands-on with associates and managers

Coach junior team members into owners

Build a dependable second line 6. Cross-Functional Authority

Act as single source of truth for financial data

Push back on business when processes are violated

Escalate risks clearly to the leadership

Chartered Accountant with 58 years of experience Experience building or fixing finance operations in fast-growing environments Comfortable with hands-on execution Strong process and control mindset
