Position Summary
SPV Accounting Solution Advisor
- The Consultant is a hands-on member of Deloittes Finance Operate team, responsible for executing day-to-day SPV activities for global investment management clients.
- Deliver accurate, timely financial information under US GAAP (incl. ASC 946).
- Own assigned close tasks (journal entries, reconciliations, analytics) and support statutory / management/ regulatory reporting.
- Drive efficiencies through automation and technology-enabled solutions.
- Document processes during transitions and maintain strong stakeholder communications.
- As part of Deloittes Finance Operate practice, you will deliver high-quality controllership services to global investment management clients, contribute to smooth period-end closes, and embed leading practices in accounting, controls, and technology-enabled operations.
Work You Will Do
The Consultant provides end to end finance operate services by working on a wide variety of corporations, including multinational companies across traditional and alternative fund management industry and real estate asset management industry.
Draft Asset Co and Hold Co monthly/quarterly financial statement reviews including consolidation at ultimate and intermediate Hold Co level, GAAP adjustments, variance analysis, Asset and debt appraisals
Finalization of audited/non-audited fund financial statements; continually improve the level and content of reporting and communication
Implementing financial close and reporting solutions
Overseeing onboarding of new assets under existing or new Asset Companies, review of Capital allocations, distributions and Investor statements; Responsible for internal and Portfolio Managers reporting
Driving operational efficiencies in the financial close and reporting process through providing efficient, sustainable, and technology-enabled solutions aligned with accounting and financial reporting requirements
Participating in engagement planning and budgeting; managing engagement economics, engagement risk, and engagement timeline
Contributing to training and personnel development efforts within their area of expertise
Working with team to identify and understand their challenges, managing day-to-day client and internal relationships and identify solutions to drive desired outcomes
Create and maintain quality control processes and report quality control metrics to project leadership
Qualifications required
2-5 years of relevant experience in SPV, Hold Co and Prop Co accounting or Fund controllership function
Proficiency in MS office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Proficiency in Yardi (desirable not mandatory)
Strong knowledge of accounting policies and concepts.
Ability to act decisively, form and articulate opinions and make recommendations.
Experience of working with teams across multiple geographies
Ability to manage and organize resources, conduct effective presentations and facilitate meetings
Effective communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively.
Ability to work in high-pressure situations
Education
Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA)
Post-Graduate/Graduate in Finance /Accounting
