About the Performance Insights Group in Bengaluru:

We are on a transformation journey in D&A Finance to energise the partnership between finance and the business and to support our purpose of driving sustained growth across the D&A business. We have been implementing a fully integrated global org design with specialist teams and scaling our new Performance Insights team in Bangalore. This role will be a critical senior leader in the continued development and evolution of the Performance Insights team.

Director, Finance

This role is part of the India Performance Insights team and is responsible for leading the India Sales and Revenue teams for three divisions at LSEG. The role will own key FP&A processes with focus on Sales and Revenue and will involve working with senior finance leaders to drive high quality outcomes in the areas of Budgeting, Forecasting, Month close and other areas. Apart from direct functional accountability, the role would also involve leading a team of professionals aligned to these functions.

The successful candidate should have consistent record to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and be comfortable collaborating across finance teams.

Key Functional Responsibilities / Accountabilities:  

·         Orchestrate the run of key Revenue processes including Sales and Revenue planning, forecasting, Budgeting etc and provide insightful business commentary.

·         Be a glue between Product finance and Sales finance teams to drive alignment on approach and assumptions during Forecast / Budget cycles.

·         Support adhoc requests involving analysis of Sales / Revenue trends by region, business, product, client etc

·         Continuously evaluate the relevance and value of management reports being produced and identify opportunities for rationalisation, automation, or improvements

·         Effectively lead / contribute towards finance transformation in the area of performance management (P2P implementations, Overall MI Strategy incl Dashboarding and TOM).

·         Drive standardisation of processes across FTSE, RI, D&A and SAM to achieve consistency and efficiency through direct engagement with FBPs and Divisional FLT

               

·         Own and drive processes including Budgeting, Forecasting including  responsibilities for strategizing the approach, driving suitable engagement with CFOs / FBPs, coordination with multiple teams and driving execution.

·         Provide insightful business commentary in various outputs backed by strong business understanding and effective communication. Proactively, anticipate and prepare for follow-up questions / analytical asks from senior partners.

·         Carry an independent perspective and review / challenge inputs and assumptions baked in key FP&A exercises.

·         Drive scenario analysis through suitable financial modelling during Budgets, multiyear planning and other exercises.

·         Develop close working relationship with other finance / non finance teams including Group FP&A, controllers, Investor relations, Finance technology, Master Data Hierarchy Management group etc to manage the function effectively.

Skills / experience requirements :

·         Experienced Finance leader with experience in Revenue Finance / FP&A with 15+ years of proven experience.

·         Proficient in collaborating and delivering results in a fast-paced, sophisticated global business environment. 

·         Strong commercial mindset and good communication / story telling skills and analytical mindset.

·         Leads teams and provides thought leadership to influence strategy and change 

·         Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resource 

·         Exposure to financial transformation is an added advantage

·         Professional Finance Qualification – e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, would be key
