About the role

This role is about protecting a treasury thats growing quickly :). As we traverse the journey from $8M to $50M in ARR over the next couple of years, we want to ensure the highest level of financial rigour from the early days to lay a strong foundation for growth over the years.

Youll be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and day-to-day financial operations. It involves working closely with the CEO, executive team, and investors to develop and execute financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.

What youll do

• Own end-to-end controllership and financial operations, including day-to-day accounting, vendor payments, refunds, collections, and reconciliations.

• Ensure statutory compliance across GST, PF, PT, including reviewing and validating work done by outsourced teams and ensuring timely filings.

• Support due diligences, developing investor presentations and financial projections, etc.

• Develop and maintain financial models to support the company's strategic planning and decision-making processes.

• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Oversee the company's cash management, including monitoring cash flow and optimising working capital.

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and auditors.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

• Oversee completion of statutory audit from a big 4 audit firm.

What makes you a good fit

• 4 to 9 years of experience in business finance, controllership, or a related field.

• Building the finance function from 0-1 for a scaling SaaS company excites you.

• Youre open to being a generalist and adapting to the uncertainty of early stage.

• You understand budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting like the back of your hand.

• Past experience working in SaaS accounting is an added plus.

Salary and Location

Location: Bangalore

Expected CTC: We pay top of market for the right folks and also offer generous equity (ESOP) to everyone in the team
